Sunroom is gone

Construction12-1.jpg

Updated sunroom wil be my future office. The washer, dryer and water heater will be moved to closets in the hallway. Where you see the ladder will be the opening from the existing home to the new addition. The door you see in the photo takes you to the kitchen. Most probably we will keep it. So, the office will have two doors, one to the kitchen and the other to the hallway. Still on schedule.

Air Plant!

Garden02.jpg Garden01.jpg

No, it doesn’t live in the air. It does have an interesting way of reproduction though. You place a leaf in a lighted place on moist soil or even without soil and in a matter of days, the leaf will produce young plants along its scalloped margins. Each baby plant is an identical genetic copy of the mother plant (asexsual reproduction). The best news is this plant is among the easiest to grow. It tolerate a wide range of light conditions, from shade to full sun.

A friend of mine brought it for me from Hawaii. It is growing nicely so far.

Framing of the floor

Construction05-1.jpg Construction06-1.jpg

After the framing of the floor it is plumbers turn to show up and start their job. I would say the most unreliable subs are plumbers. So, let’s see how long it would take them to do what they have to do.
